Mr. Thing

Born within the Sevenoaks area of Kent, Britain, DJ/maker Mr. Thing’s obsession with breaks, primarily from deep funk and reggae, fueled his enthusiasm for turntablism even though he first began to DJ around age group 14. His profession took a step of progress when he helped discovered beat-juggling ensemble the Scrape Perverts in 1996. The UK-based collective received several international group championships later on, and Mr. Thing gained his personal crowning title because the UK champion within the DMC Scrape Tournament in 2000 (he arrived third within the DMC globe competition), though he quickly exited the Scrape Perverts by the finish of the entire year.
