Josh Miesmer 1st learned blues acoustic guitar from your well-known teacher, writer of instructional books, columnist (GUITARIST publication), and older editor (Acoustic guitar One publication) Dave Rubin. Through senior high school he place his understanding how to use inside a ska/dub music group known as the Crumb Tynees, prior to going off to Bennington University for further research from the jazz electric guitar. While there, Miesmer also begun to compose and perform along with his very own jazz music group. After a move back again to NEW YORK, he give up jazz and started playing the bass electric guitar in various rock and roll (Duckwood, Peck Slide, Chris Potential) and Afro-beat (Synopsis) groupings, before striking from his very own in the rings Downie as well as the Ferns and finally going single beneath the pseudonym Mr. Forky. Miesmer following contacted Johnny Culture frontman Kenny Siegal, who he previously known when both his music group Duckwood and Siegal’s initial combo Hunk had been agreed upon to a cope with the same Polygram publisher, to create his songs for the debut documenting. The causing record, Mr. Forky, premiered by Fang Information in the summertime of 2002. A tour with Johnny Culture followed.
