Motor Sister

The brainchild of Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian, Electric motor Sister can be an all-star hard rock collective built for the only real reason for celebrating and playing the songs of Los Angeles-based groove/blues-rockers Mom Superior, who split up in the first 2000s after releasing eight studio albums and moonlighting as Henry Rollins backing band. Ian, a longtime enthusiast, wanted to visit a reunion from the defunct clothing for his 50th birthday, and he also wished to become a part of it. By using his wife, vocalist Pearl Aday, who was simply functioning musically with Mom Better frontman Jim Wilson for a long time, Ian got his desire, and was shortly joined up with by Wilson, Aday, and close friends Joey Vera (Fates Caution, Armored Saint) and John Tempesta (Light Zombie) at his rehearsal space to perform through some music. The recently minted Electric motor Sister, called for MS monitor “Little Electric motor Sister,” produced its debut at Ian’s 50th party, as well as the group got along therefore well that they started talking about placing an album jointly. The resulting Trip, which features 12 brand-new takes on Mom Superior criteria like “Devil Blowing wind,” “Beg Borrow Grab,” and “A Gap,” was released via Metal Edge in March 2015.
