Mother Hips

Produced in Chico, CA, in 1991, earthy pop jam rockers mom Hips transferred up from club group status through some regional tours and constructed a sizable group of fans in California. Songwriter, vocalist, and guitarist Tim Bluhm, guitarist Greg Loiacono, bassist Isaac Parsons, and drummer Mike Wofchuck fulfilled within the dorms of Chico Condition in the first ’90s. Loiacono and Bluhm’s harmonies and country-tinged melodies honored California’s musical previous — from Merle Haggard towards the Seaside Children to Neil Youthful. Their 1992 record, entitled Back again to the Grotto, captured the hearing of American Recordings, which released 1995’s Part-Timer Will go Total and 1996’s Shootout. This romantic relationship resulted in high-profile slot machine games on travels with Johnny Money, Wilco, as well as the H.O.R.D.E. tour. Drummer Wofchuck was changed by John Hofer for 1998’s country-rock Afterwards Days. 3 years later on, the music group released the greater pop-oriented Green Hillsides of Earth. When the album obtained notoriety, vocalist/guitarist Greg Loiacono made a decision to have a break through the group, departing the band’s position involved. In 2005, Bluhm, Loiacono, Hofer, and fresh bassist Paul Hoaglin resumed playing music and released the Crimson Tandy EP on Camcorder Recordsin 2006 and adopted it up using the full-length Kiss the Crystal Flake in early 2007.
