Mother Falcon

An ambitious symphonic rock and roll/orchestral pop collective based away of Austin, Texas and spearheaded simply by bandleader and founder Nick Gregg, Mom Falcon was shaped in 2008 simply by Gregg by using members from the Red Armada String Quartet, a higher school ensemble. Going for a cue from various other classical-minded pop performers like Sufjan Stevens, Beirut, as well as the Polyphonic Spree, the group ultimately added associates from various other area academic institutions, and by enough time they started performing, numbered from 11 to 20 music artists on any provided night, with primary vocalists Gregg, guitarist Claire Puckett, and accordionist-pianist Tamir Kalifa leading the charge. Mom Falcon quickly became a must-see event around city, playing many high-profile celebrations and launching a string of well-received EPs and LPs, including Still Lifestyle (2010), Alhambra (2011), You Knew (2013), and ALL THE BEST HAVE A GREAT TIME (2015).
