Created in Castellon, Spain in 1996, self-employed Valencian rockers Motel certainly are a Spanish underground sensation in the vein of regional outfits like Los Enemigos, Los Planetas, Los Secretos, and Barricada. Featuring the skills of Nando López, Alfonso Pachés, Michel Saez, and Michel Llorens, Motel released an aptly-named debut EP, Uno, in 1998, accompanied by Un Complicado Sabor de la Carne Cruda in 2000, Veneno Stereo system in 2002, and Animales de Compañía in ’09 2009, the second option which received significant amounts of essential acclaim in the Valencian community. Following studio albums consist of Los Renglones Torcidos (2011) and Cultivos (2013).
