Champaign-Urbana indie music group Morning Becomes Electric powered was founded in 1996 by vocalist Expenses Johnson, previously of Poor Flannel and Honcho Overload, and multi-instrumentalist Jeff Garber, who continued to execute in Country wide Skyline. Two from the band’s tunes, including “Right now There is a 4-Monitor,” made an appearance on Cover the planet earth: A Dirt Records Compilation.
