Morella’s Forest

Using the styling’s of 80’s new wave and indie-pop keeping a strong relationship amongst the users of Morella’s Forest, they wished to introduce this sound with their home of Dayton, Ohio. Comprising Sydney Rentz (vocals/ acoustic guitar), Sean McCorkle (bass), Shawn Johnson (acoustic guitar/ keyboards) and Nate McCorkle (drums), the music group had the opportunity to play all over the Mid-West using their brand of above mentioned influences, noisy electric guitar sequences and melodic keyboards before putting your signature on with Teeth and Nail Information in 1996. Following the release from the EPs “Super Deluxe” and “GO OUT” that same calendar year, their initial full-length “Ultraphonic Hiss” arrived the following calendar year. Using the eventual recruitment of previous Brainiac keyboardist John Schmersal, the discharge of Morella’s Forest second record “From Dayton With Appreciate” soon came into being in 1998.
