Moonlight Rodeo

The choice country band Moonlight Rodeo grew from jams held in living spaces in San Rafael CA in 1994, including such players as Jesse Lee Kincaid (a founding person in Rising Sons), Kurt Huget, and Mayne Smith. Later on becoming a member of the ensemble was David Getz (a founding person in YOUR GOVERNMENT & the Keeping Company). Ultimately, the lineup solidified with Huget on acoustic guitar and vocals, Lauralee Dark brown on vocals, Jon Mitguard on pedal metal acoustic guitar, Tony Bowers on bass, and Mike Spinrad on drums. A debut recording premiered in 2000, adopted in 2003 by Rio Lindo, including guest looks by Kincaid, Smith, Getz, Bruce Barthol (a founding person in Nation Joe & the Seafood), and Robert Hunter, the Thankful Deceased lyricist, who also provided terms to five tunes.
