Detroit’s power pop/indie rock and roll trio Moods for Moderns features vocalist/guitarist Nathan Beale, bassist Ben Push (also of Ruler for a Day time), and drummer Dave Shettler (also of Koufax). After developing in 1998, the group released their debut EP Two Paths Remaining in 2000 on Doghouse Information. Their full-length Loud & Crystal clear, which was made by Jim Gemstone, arrived in springtime 2001 and extended on Moods for Moderns’ mixture of mod, bubblegum, and garage area rock influences.
