A superb bass violist who’s credited using the seven string viol by two of his college students. He was energetic in Paris and regarded as a virtuoso upon his device. He was students of Hotman and experienced college students which range from Rousseau to Marais. Sainte-Colombe’s playing design was descriptively cantabile and his compositions included around sixty concertos for just two viols plus some compositions for any solo viol aswell.
