Monroe Mustang

The Texas-bred Monroe Mustang actually were only available in Norman, OK, when bandmembers Jason Stout, Brian Barry, and Taylor Holland attended Monroe Elementary College, home from the Mustangs. Immediately after, the trio fulfilled Mike and Chris Linnen, as well as the music group formed. After university, the group resolved in Austin. Monroe Mustang released two singles (“I HAD BEEN 18, IT HAD BEEN Hate”/”Maude” and “Wusses”/”Carcrash Mind”) prior to the Austin-based label Trans Syndicate released their first Compact disc, Airplane Sweeping Themes for the Unprepared, in 1998. The next year noticed their second Compact disc, The Elephant Sound, released by Jagjaguwar and De Avonden 091099 implemented in fall 2000.
