A single vehicle for Aussie singer/songwriter Tag Monnone, most widely known as the bass participant and co-songwriter for Melbourne-based indie rock and roll veterans the Lucksmiths, Monnone Alone also uses rotating solid of talented friends/music artists to provide its esoteric pop confections. The theory for the music group started percolating around 2005, when Monnone began looking for locations to test new, non-Lucksmiths materials. A few of that materials managed to get onto the ultimate Lucksmiths recording, 2008’s First Frost, as the rest became a member of up with actually newer tracks on Monnone Alone’s 2011 debut long-player, Red Earrings. The group’s sophomore work, Together finally, adopted in 2013.
