Not a music group or group just as much as a further part task for Blur and Gorillaz vocalist/songwriter Damon Albarn, Monkey: Trip towards the West was a stage version of the 16th hundred years Chinese book entitled Journey towards the West. Becoming a member of Albarn in his effort were designer Jamie Hewlett — also area of the Gorillaz task — and opera movie director Chen Shi-Zheng. The display produced its debut in Manchester in June of 2007.
