Hailing from Mountlake Terrace, WA, the eclectic trio referred to as Mon Frere cultivate electro-shock, jazz-tinged dance-pop having a punk rock and roll attitude. Comprising vocalist/keyboard participant Nouela Johnston, guitarist Kyle Swisher, and drummer Dustin McGhie, the group funded the creation of its debut EP with earnings from a “Fight of the Rings” competition. The resulting Actual Vampires premiered in 2005 on Wedding cake Records, accompanied by the full-length Bloodstream, Perspiration, and Swords in-may 2006.
