Kalim Shabazz and Nick Jones spent years developing their very own professions as New York-based home DJ/makers before uniting as Occasions of Spirit. The duo debuted in 2002 on Influx Records using the Like EP, which presented the lush vocals of Silvia Simone. The vocalist came back for another Moments of Spirit launch, The Live EP, which presented “Great tasting.”
