Mollie O’Brien

The older sister of Hot Rize member Tim, bluegrass performer Mollie O’Brien was raised in Wheeling, West Virginia, where during senior high school she and her brother teamed up like a folk duo. After learning voice in university, O’Brien relocated to NEW YORK, where she worked well as a purchaser for the garment market. In 1980, influenced by Tim’s achievement in Warm Rize, she became a member of him in Colorado, where she became a fixture around the R&B and jazz golf club circuits. In 1984, the O’Brien siblings reunited for any Mother’s Day time concert, and four years later on, they documented a duets recording, Take Me Back again. Concurrently, O’Brien continuing her single profession, issuing her debut LP, I By no means Move TOO EARLY, in 1987. She also became a member of using the group the Mom Folkers for 1989’s Live in the Arvada Middle. In the 10 years that adopted, O’Brien continuing to separate her time taken between single and duo function, liberating her Everynight in the Week in 1990 and rejoining Tim 2 yrs later for Keep in mind Me. Another duet collection, Aside From the Mountain, made an appearance in 1994, and in 1996, O’Brien released the single effort Inform It Accurate. Big Red Sunlight Blues followed 2 yrs later, and Points I Gave Away was released in 2000. In 2001 she became a normal performer on Garrison Keillor’s nationally syndicated NPR radio display A Prairie House Companion, O’Brian started carrying out and touring with her spouse, vocalist and guitarist High Moore, in 2006, a tour that was record around the 2007 recording 900 Baseline. The couple’s sophomore launch adopted in 2014, when Like Runner arrived offering original materials along with tunes from Randy Newman, Tom Paxton, Chris Smither, as well as others.
