Dionísio Barbosa was the creator from the first carnival band of the town of São Paulo (SP) in 1914, the Camisa Verde. At age group 12, he relocated with his family members to the condition capital, where he quickly became a member of the carnival like a merrymaker. He also performed percussion devices in a nearby batuques. In 1909 Barbosa relocated to Rio de Janeiro RJ to are a joiner. There he participated in a number of ranchos just like the Pastorinhas perform Catete.
