Moiré

Located in London, England, home/techno artist Moiré — called following the term for overlaid graphic patterns — debuted in early 2013 using the 12″ Hardly ever Sleep. It had been released on Werkdiscs, a label operate by Darren Cunningham, aka Celebrity, among the producer’s major inspirations (along with Theo Parrish). Cunningham also positioned a duly scuffed-up and hypnotizing Celebrity remix within the release. Just a few weeks later, Moiré adopted it having a 12″ for the Netherlands’ Hurry Hour label. The next yr, another Werkdiscs 12″ preceded a nine-track recording, Shelter — a protracted refinement of his low-key but emotive sound. In 2015, famous Belgian digital label R&S authorized Moiré and released a fresh EP, Gel, in Oct. He changed brands just as before in 2016, when Spectral Sound released his Lines + Colors EP. This is adopted in 2017 by No Long term, his first launch for Spectral’s sister label Ghostly International.
