Moe Koffman

Moe Koffman became well-known for his 1957 strike saving of “Swinging Shepherd Blues,” a catchy flute feature. Usually, throughout his profession Koffman is a well-known soloist whose music runs from cool-toned bop to jazz interpretations of even more pop-ish materials; his industrial successes have occasionally overshadowed his good improvising skills. Although he offers spent the majority of his existence in Canada, Koffman do use the rings of Sonny Dunham, Ralph Flanagan, Charlie Barnet, Tex Beneke, and Jimmy Dorsey within the U.S. through the first fifty percent of the 1950s. Down the road, Koffman performed at George’s Spaghetti Home in Toronto for over three years (seven days on a monthly basis), worked thoroughly within the studios, and it has been with Rob McConnell’s Manager Brass since 1972.
