Modular

Naming themselves following the Moog Modulator synthesizer, Mariana Badaracco and Pablo Dahy began collaborating on what would become Modular’s 1st recordings in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2000. The duo spent another eight years self-releasing several demonstration discs (2003’s Fecunidad del Cosmos, 2004’s Viaje por un Planeta del Pasto, 2005’s Un Triangulo de las Bermudas, and 2008’s Micro Film). They’ve also made an appearance on a small number of compilation discs, adding tunes to Flasheando, Mezcladitos de Kidart, so when You Arrive, Bring sunlight. Modular were authorized to Madrid, Spain’s Elefant Information in 2008, and their debut full-length on that label, Fantasias de el Robot Psicodelico, premiered the following summer time. They adopted it up in 2011 with Sinfonías Em virtude de Terrícolas, and came back after an extended break using the disco-influenced Fuga al Paraiso in 2016.
