Modestep

London-based crossover digital/dubstep act Modestep shaped this year 2010, featuring brothers Josh (production, vocals, keyboards) and Tony Friend (production, turntables, guitar), Matthew Curtis (drums, percussion), and Nick Tsang (guitar). The quartet debuted in Feb 2011 with “FEEL GREAT,” a bursting one that reached the very best Ten from the U.K. dance graph and crossed in to the Best 40 of the primary pop graph. August’s “Sunshine,” released on Polydor, was even more intense — to a piercing level — and fared better still; it peaked in the very best 20 from the pop graph as the group was plotting the discharge of its debut full-length. After some delays, that record, Evolution Theory, found its way to Feb 2013. After some touring, Curtis and Tsang departed and had been changed by Kyle Deek and Pat Lundy. The brand new lineup documented London Street in an instant and productive style — with performances from famous brands the Partysquad, Big Narstie, and Flowdan — and released it in-may 2015.
