Mod Sun

Position for “Movement on Dreams Stand Under non-e,” Mod Direct sun light may be the hip-hop moniker of Bloomington, Minnesota rapper Derek Smith. He moved into the music business being a drummer in the post-hardcore group Four Notice Lie, and got the moniker Mod Sunlight in 2004; he still left Four Notice Lie in ’09 2009 to become listed on Scary Children Scaring Children as their drummer, but SKSK’s concert events were also a chance to debut Mod Sunlight as the starting work. Rapping became a full-time work when the group disbanded this year 2010 and Mod Sunlight released his debut, The Hippy Hop EP. The In Mod We Trust EP arrived in 2011 and Happy as Fuck implemented in 2012. In 2014, he agreed upon with Rostrum Information and released his debut record, RESEARCH, in 2015. Travis Barker, MGK, and G-Eazy had been among the album’s guests. The next year noticed Mod Sunlight issue a small number of brand-new singles, like the Honorable C.N.O.T.E.-produced “Gucci Nail,” “We DO THAT Shit” (featuring DeJ Loaf), as well as the Don Cannon-produced “Smokin’ What I’m Smokin’ On” (feat. D.R.A.M. and Affluent). Preceded with the one “Two,” Mod Sunlight shipped his sophomore LP, Film, in March 2017.
