Moanin’ Bernice Edwards

b. c.1910, Houston, Tx, USA. Bernice Edwards was defined by Beulah ‘Sippie’ Wallace to be ‘one from the family members’; the family members involved was Sippie’s have renowned Thomas Category of Houston, Bernice getting exactly the same age group as its many gifted member, the kid prodigy Hersal Thomas. From another relation, Hociel Thomas, she discovered to try out the piano and sing the blues. She continued to be in Houston once the family members transferred north and was frequently together with Black Boy Glimmer (Harold Vacation). When she documented for Paramount in 1928 these affects were noticeable in her introspective ‘moanin’ blues and her piano design. When she went to her third and last program (for ARC in 1935) she was together with Holiday and something record was released by her, Vacation and Howling Smith jointly.
