Mixel Pixel takes on music that’s wise and willfully naïve simultaneously, combining basic, dreamlike music that suggest the smirky more youthful siblings of Defeat Taking place with an intense but playful embrace of inexpensive keyboards, samplers, and electronic playthings which allows their music to pulsate or drift in can. Mixel Pixel (occasionally billed as Mr. Mixel Pixel) started existence in 1995 when Rob Corradetti (who cites Beck, Ween, the Vaselines, and Royal Trux as early affects) began producing four-track cassette recordings and collaborating with like-minded close friends through the email while focusing on a plantation in Minnesota. 2 yrs later, Corradetti experienced relocated to Delaware and started producing music with Matt Kaukeinen; while their main focus was house documenting, the duo do play house celebrations and the casual golf club gig. By 1999, both had drawn up stakes once again and got in NY; the documenting experiments continuing, and in 2001 Corradetti and Kaukeinen finished the first Mr. Mixel Pixel recording, Mappyland. The duo relocated their head office to Brooklyn, started performing concert events after the record premiered, and added Kaia Wong towards the group. The trio formalized their documenting techniques because they build a studio within their distributed loft, and in 2004 released a second record, Rainbow Panda. By 2005, the group acquired developed an evergrowing following in both USA and Canada because of their ambitious music and imaginative live shows, and Kanine Information, a fresh York-based indie label, agreed upon them because of their third album, Get in touch with Child. Music for Plant life followed in nov 2006, where period the addition of Matt Snee swelled the combo right into a quartet.
