Misora Hibari

Until her death, in 1989, Misora Hibari was Japan’s best-known singer, focusing on enka, a moody and downbeat ballad form. Hibari started performing in 1949, when she was just 12 years of age, and during her four-decade profession released a lot more than 500 information. She is most widely known on her behalf tearful performances from the tune “Kanashii Sake.”
