Properly taking their name from the controversial Japanese writer, literate Barcelona indie pop outfit Mishima formed about 1999, with unique members including main singer and songwriter David Carabén in addition to Christian Aloy (guitars), Marc Lloret (keyboards), Óscar d’Aniello (drum programming), and Dani Acedo (bass). Mishima’s 1st two albums, 2000’s Lipstick Traces and 2003’s Nov the Public Guy, had been sung in British, but the music group achieved crucial and popular acknowledgement when it turned to Catalan because of its third record, Trucar a Casa.
