Mínus

Developing in 1998 while its associates were still within their teenagers, Iceland’s Minus quickly started turning minds among the neighborhood hardcore picture with brutal noises and an incendiary live display. Made up of vocalist Krummi, drummer Bjossi, bassist Johnny, and guitarists Frosti and Bjarni, the five-piece got their begin wanting to merely make “disgusting music.” Their debut, Hey Johnny!, made an appearance a year later on like a raucous mixture of post-hardcore sung within their indigenous Icelandic. The music group made the change to British for 2001’s even more intensifying Jesus Christ Bobby, as well as the spastic recording garnered rave evaluations from numerous U.K. press including Kerrang! and NME. Much less hardcore and much more rock and roll in character, Halldor Laxness — called honoring the Nobel Prize-winning writer — was following released in 2003.
