Milkshake

Following the breakup of Like Riot, Lisa Mathews and Mikel Gehl each found themselves transitioning right into a new phase of the lives: parenthood. Like a mother or father, Mathews discovered herself writing tracks for her fresh girl with her previous bandmate Gehl, along with that, their songwriting collaboration was reborn. The set found the procedure liberating, and with the stresses of trying to create to get a cooler, adult viewers gone, they made a decision to begin documenting. Empowered by their objective to create quality rock and roll music for kids, they released their 1st album, Happy Tracks, in 2002, adopted quickly by Container of Sunlight in 2004. Following a success of the 1st two albums, the music group was asked to lead some music for children television, that was something these were no strangers to with Like Riot (having got their music presented on the display Homicide: Life for the Roads). Milkshake has already established their songs arrive on Discovery Children ’ ToddWorld, Nick Jr.’s Jack port’s Big Music Display, and PBS Children’ Share the planet earth Day time series. In 2007, they released their third recording, Play!, accompanied by their 1st DVD, Display Play, that was released in 2008. AN EXCELLENT Day, Milkshake’s 4th album, premiered in ’09 2009 and gained the group a Grammy nomination for “Greatest Musical Recording for Kids.”
