The next successive Israeli winners from the Eurovision Song Contest (following on from Izhar Cohen and Alphabeta), Dairy & Honey triumphed in the 1979 finals. A trio of Reuven Gvirtz, Shmulik Bilu, and Yehuda Tamir, they performed “Hallelujah” alongside celebrity and vocalist Gali Atari. Popular performers within their homeland, Dairy & Honey produced two following Eurovision looks, in 1984 (carrying out “Serenada”) and 1989 (“Ani Ma’amin,” fronted right now by vocalist Lea Lupatin). On these events, however, they by no means advanced beyond the nationwide finals.
