Miles Maeda

Mls Maeda is a residence DJ/producer located in California that has deep ties to Chicago, where he established himself artistically through the early to mid-’90s before moving to sunny NORTH PARK in 1995 and engaging in the yoga exercises business. Delivered and elevated in Hawaii, Maeda transferred to the Midwest in the past due ’80s and went to college at Indiana School in Bloomington. Whilst in college he proved helpful on the university’s radio place and got deeply in to the early Chicago home and Detroit techno which were arriving at light at that time. In search of his newfound musical passions, he journeyed to Chicago often to go to Gramophone Information, the storied record shop where Derrick Carter proved helpful at that time, and eventually he relocated from Bloomington to Chicago, where he resided until 1995. Through the early ’90s he became a member of the city’s home DJ circuit, notably co-founding the Materials and Atmospheric Sound Chair club evenings. In 1995 he transferred to NORTH PARK, where he experienced the yoga exercises business while preserving his ties to Chicago with a long-running residency at Smartbar that started in 1998. On the other hand, he journeyed internationally as a residence DJ and, from the past due ’90s, released creation work on several labels. Maeda’s result began to top in 2004, when he released a set of DJ mixes on Igloo Music (THE BRAND NEW House Audio of Chicago along with a la Peanut Budder Sandwiches, the last mentioned a downtempo combine originally released in the first ’90s) and some 12″ EPs (Crafty Function, Robsoul Recordings; The Cement Pop, Anonymous Recordings; Factors Are Items, Aroma). His creation output continued to be prolific in following years, including 12″ EP produces on Kolour Recordings, Chances & Ends Music, Crimson Brunette, .dotbleep, LowDown Music, Dirt Traxx, Bambino Recordings, Gimme Some Files, Dae Recordings, Lust4Home, Outergaze, Primal Files, Bump Music, and Bopsa Music, among additional labels.
