Mile

Mile is a display for the tracks of vocalist/guitarist Noel Hartough. Delivered circa 1973, Hartough was raised in Houston where he bucked mainstream flavor by hearing the music of such 1980s functions as Chameleons U.K., the Smiths, and Lloyd Cole. He persuaded his parents to get him a acoustic guitar after hearing U2’s “Weekend Bloody Weekend.” In his 20s, he relocated to Tallahassee, FL, where he started performing and captured the interest of supervisor Jeff Hanson. But after a year or two he quit the music business and considered medical college. He was persuaded to come back by Hanson, who in the interim experienced become Creed’s supervisor, and positioned a song on the compilation by Aware Information before developing Mile with drummer Stan Turner, guitarist Marlin Clark, bassist Davy Mason, and guitarist/vocalist David Lareau. In the springtime of 1999, a overall performance in NY brought these to the interest of Columbia Information, which signed these to its C2 subsidiary. Their debut recording, Driving Under Celebrities, premiered in past due August 2000.
