b. Michael Taylor, 9 Oct 1963, London, Britain. Taylor spent his formative years commuting between London and Jamaica. Influenced by the founded performers on the isle, including Dennis Dark brown and Barrington Levy, he embarked by himself singing profession. His vocal range was within the high tenor dancehall -design favoured by Pinchers, Sanchez and Pliers. He started his documenting career through the mid-80s in the united kingdom, documenting with Studio room One maker Jackie Mittoo. The recordings surfaced on Mikey’s personal MGR label through Omega, along with other significant recordings adopted, including ‘Kuff N Dem’, ‘A Sound Gonna Die Tonight’, as well as the allegorical ‘Cowboy Existence’. In mixture, he found achievement with Richie Davis (‘Back again To Existence’ and ‘Suzy Wong’), while he became a member of Skipper Position for the anti-cocaine anthem, ‘Don’t Nasal area It Up’. He approved a starring part in the tv screen perform We The Raggamuffin, that he also supplied the theme tune. In 1992, Mikey came back to Jamaica, where he fulfilled Luciano throughout a documenting program – the association resulted in his becoming area of the Firehouse Staff alongside DJ Sizzla and saxophonist Dean Fraser. In 1997, the Firehouse Staff shared best billing with Buju Banton and Bunny Wailer at the fundamental Roots Day celebration, and by this time around, Mikey’s documenting career was savoring a renaissance. Philip ‘Fatis’ Burrell created his Firehouse debut, More powerful Rastaman, while his mixture with Sizzla, ‘Babylon A Pay attention/Unseen Blessings’, became a dancehall anthem.
