Mike Walbridge

An extremely sought-after jazz tuba participant, Mike Walbridge was created in LA in 1937. Because of his father’s considerable traditional jazz record collection, Walbridge fell deeply in love with the genre as a kid and used the trumpet. After becoming a member of his senior high school music group, he was persuaded to change towards the sousaphone, and his life’s program like a musician was arranged. Pursuing his graduation he became a member of the Chicago Stompers, and following a stint within the armed service service, he joined up with the initial Salty Canines in the 1960s (he still proceeds to play with the group) in addition to going up his personal large music group specializing in golf swing music from your 1920s and 1930s, the Chicago Footwarmers Warm Dance Orchestra. Created in 1958, the Footwarmers will also be still a dynamic music group under Walbridge’s path. On the way Walbridge spent some time working with an extraordinary set of jazz performers, including Bob Helm, George Brunis, Hal Smith, Artwork Hodes, Clancy Hayes, Eddy Davis, Wally Rose, Turk Murphy, Albert Nicholas, Expenses Reinhardt, Floyd O’Brien, Ted Butterman, and Ernie Carson, amongst others. Delmark Information released Crazy Tempo, acknowledged to Mike Walbridge’s Chicago Footwarmers, in 2007. The Compact disc included two middle-’60s classes originally released by Blackbird Information along with songs from a 2007 program. Walbridge is constantly on the base himself within the Chicago area.
