Modern R&B songwriter, producer, and recording artist Mike Jay, that has been acknowledged as Miguel Jiminez (his delivery name), Michael Jiminez, Mike J, and Rico Law, was created in Detroit, Michigan and formulated his talents like a youth in the church — specifically Perfecting Church, with Marvin Winans as his pastor.
