Mike Gordon

The bassist/vocalist for the jam music group Phish, Mike Gordon can be a multi-instrumentalist and filmmaker. Blessed in Sudbury, MA, in 1965, Gordon produced his first music group in senior high school. In 1983, while participating in the School of Vermont, he produced the jam music group Phish along with guitarists Trey Anastasio and Jeff Holdsworth and drummer Jon Fishman. By himself, Gordon comes with an inclination toward bluegrass and Jewish folk music and has a number of equipment including electric guitar, banjo, and piano. A devoted filmmaker and professional photographer, Gordon offers shot music video clips for Phish and aimed the 2000 feature film Outdoors Out. He released his debut single recording, Inside In, on Ropeadope in 2003. Green Sparrow adopted on Rounder in 2008 and Gordon trapped with that label for his eclectic 2010 work Moss. Pursuing these albums, a occupied live plan with Phish ensued, and during this time period the band started and ended every year with a couple of sold-out displays at Madison Square Backyard. A 4th solo studio recording, Overstep, made an appearance early in 2014.
