In 1988, Brooklyn was residential to many growing rap artists. For John Borusso, aka Jonny Bro, plus some of his college friends, the seed products for any potential musical profession had been planted. In 1994, after hearing a multitude of performers in areas of rap and traditional rock and roll, the three close friends attemptedto meld both styles beneath the moniker Company Grip. However the idea demonstrated just in short supply of devastating and the theory was scrapped after one documenting program. From 1994 to 1998, Borusso worked well in the brand new York transit program even though his longtime friend, Maurice aka Gray Ghost, worked like a film editor for tv advertisements. In 1998, the duo decided to try one final time to record, liberating two singles. Both “Mics I Get” and “Rhyme for Rhyme” became strikes within the golf club and DJ circuit. The tunes also earned significant amounts of American university airplay. In 2001, Mike Control released its debut work, The Intro EP. The music group has performed in a variety of music celebrations and showcases, like the CMJ Music Marathon in NY in 2001, the Nashville Music Meeting, as well as the Monsters of Rhyme in Seattle in 2001.
