He was a nightclub vocalist by age 16, when found out by Helen Noga, supervisor of Johnny Mathis. Clifford was authorized to Columbia Information where he didn’t meet with achievement; but a 1962 change to United Performers Records led to his biggest strike. Two follow-up singles also charted but afterwards recordings for such brands as Cameo Information as well as other indie companies didn’t bring further achievement. Through the 70s Clifford performed on Broadway in Grease.
