Miguel y Miguel

Mexican vocal duo Miguel y Miguel was one of the primary conjunto bands to emerge from the Angostura, Sinaloa area, an area typically renowned because of its wealthy Norteño and Banda musical traditions. Made up of Jose Miguel Montoya and Miguel Angel Angulo, these were currently long-standing superstars in Latin America when their 1996 LP Cruz de Madera crossed over in to the U.S. marketplace on the effectiveness of the strike “Sonora con Sus Ojos Negros.” After issuing Carino Nuevo the next season, Miguel y Miguel came back in 1998 with Un Training collar de Guamuchil, and once again in 1999 with Cartitas de Amor. Frente a Frente made an appearance in the springtime of 2000 and Un Contrato was released the following summertime.
