Migil Five

Crimson Lambert (guitar/vocals), Alan Watson (saxophone), Gil Lucas (piano), Lenny Blanche (bass) and Mike Felix (drums/lead vocals) achieved momentary fame when their ‘Mockingbird Hill’ one reached the united kingdom Top 10 in March 1964, in the effectiveness of a fleeting bluebeat craze. Felix, Blanche and Lucas acquired previously worked being a jazz trio ahead of embracing pop by adding Lambert. They documented as the Migil Four before adding Watson on the recommendation of trumpeter Kenny Ball. Despite inordinate press insurance, the group was struggling to repeat this achievement. They afterwards became stalwarts from the cabaret circuit before disintegrating when Felix started a solo profession.
