Mighty Joe Plum

Playing the post-grunge mixture of modern and classic rock and roll that would get to dominate late 1990s rock and roll, Mighty Joe Plum have scored a minor strike with the solo “SURVIVE This (Fifteen Stories)” in the summertime of 1997. But unlike similar-sounding Matchbox 20 and Creed, the band hardly ever really captured on. Vocalist Brett Williams, guitarist Marlin Clark and drummer Tag Mercado fulfilled in Tampa Bay within the 6th quality and jammed until they graduated from senior high school. The three reunited with bassist Davy Mason for the battle from the rings competition, that they dropped. Undeterred, their honed their audio and gained their following competition. Choosing their name from a film and a fruits, Mighty Joe Plum started touring southeastern Florida, increasing enough cash to record a three-track demonstration. After an Orlando radio place first performed “SURVIVE This,” various other Florida stations implemented suit as well as the group came back to the studio room to record an EP, Aardvark. In 1996, the music group agreed upon with Atlantic Information and documented its just full-length recording, The Happiest Canines.
