Midnight Movies shaped in LA in 2002. Made up of Gena Olivier (vocals, drums), Larry Schemel (acoustic guitar), and Jason Hammons (keyboards, acoustic guitar), the indie rock and roll trio quickly crafted a moody and fashionable sound. They truly became a major encounter within the L.A. music picture inside a yr, and gained a nomination for Greatest New Artist in the L.A. Regular Music Awards in-may 2003. Just like their self-released six-song EP came, Midnight Films received another nomination for Greatest Pop/Rock music group in springtime 2004. Midnight Films’ self-titled studio-length debut premiered on Emperor Norton the next August. The group resurfaced in 2007 with Lion the lady, which featured fresh bassist Ryan Real wood and drummer Sandra Vu, with Olivier managing key pad and vocal responsibilities and creation by Steve Fisk.
