Micranots

Although Micranots originally contains two MCs and one producer/DJ, by enough time their debut, Return from the Travellahs, arrived (on cassette only) in 1996, only rapper I Self Devine and DJ Kool Akiem were in the group. Akiem got a copy from the tape in to the hands of Business Flow’s Bigg Jus, who loved what he noticed and eventually authorized the duo to his 321 Information. Sadly, the label folded prior to the Micranots could actually release anything, however when Jus rebounded and began Sub Verse Information, the group officially certified 2000’s Obelisk Motions to them. Although duo never really had a falling out in clumps with their fresh label, they weren’t pleased with Sub Verse either, and shifted to Rhymesayers (with whom each got previous contacts: the Micranots got originally shaped in Minneapolis before shifting to Atlanta, and I Self was area of the group Dynospectrum with Musab, Slug, and Mr. Gene Poole), which reissued Come back from the Travellahs in 2003. The next yr the Micranots’ last recording, The Emperor as well as the Assassin, premiered in limited volume right before the music group folded, as I Self Devine wished to go after his solo profession. The rapper released Self Devastation in 2005, and Kool Akiem continued to DJ for MF Doom, among other activities.
