Michelle Lewis

Pop singer/songwriter Michelle Lewis was created to saxophonist Morty Lewis and his wife, a specialist program singer; Michelle herself implemented the latter path as a kid, performing on advertisements and getting regular appearances in the children’s tv program Sesame Road. Upon graduating from Columbia School as a mindset main, Lewis (with her uncle’s help) got employment as a creation planner for the GRP jazz label. Following that, she got associated with the brand new York jam music group picture that spawned the Spin Doctors and Blues Traveller, amongst others; she also composed dance-pop quantities for such serves as Camille, the Todd Terry Task, Eternal, Deni Hines, and Amy Offer. A wish to go after more personal materials led Lewis to begin with focus on the materials that became her debut record, Small Leviathan; released in 1998, the record was made by Steve Fisk (Geraldine Fibbers, Joan Osborne, Defeat Happening, Screaming Trees and shrubs).
