Michael Trigilio

This San Antonio-based composer and performance artist began his musical activities like a keyboard player in rock bands, which gradually grew into increasingly sophisticated art-rock; in 1992 he started composition and overall performance research with Jesse Hernandez and quickly made an appearance in conceptual overall performance pieces for regional locations. He received the 1993 Music College student of the entire year Honor for his use modern dance in the San Antonio College for the Performing Arts. Then created the Sycamore String Quartet as well as the Suicidal Caffeine Orchestra and structured numerous local shows of musical functions. In 1994 he started composition research with Alice Gomez at San Antonio University and produced many multimedia performance items with music, contemporary dance, slides, film, and video (Archipeligo) that have been offered at JumpStart Theater in 1995 in addition to at other region locations. He also created a media piece for the Country wide Overall performance Network (1995). His functions consist of: Realitu Juxtaposition #1: a four-minute function obtained for piano cello and two ready tapes. It received the ASCAP College student Composers Honor in 1994. Archipeligo: Full-length media performance piece comprising the following areas: “Doorknob” for tape, percussion, bass, synthesizer, and vocalist; “Cello Single”; “Bell Toll” for tape and synthesizer; “John Wayne” for synthesizer and vocalist; “Quiet” for tape, acoustic guitar and vocalist; “2B Next 2U” for tape, sitar, ektar, and vocalist. Archipeligo received best musical structure at Arts Expo 1994. Flawlessly Free of charge: for string quartet and tape. Performed from the Sycamore String Quartet at Palo Alto University in 1993.
