Local Pennsylvanian, California-based singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Michael Stasis records lo-fi, experimental, fun-time pop with influences from the annals of pop/rock and indie. Having a routine of fabricating and sharing ratings of tunes piecemeal, he ultimately released some selections to constitute his early recording discography, including 2011’s self-released, 17-monitor RIP (2003-2009). His regular produces included the synthy Chainsaw in 2012 and Venus in Cleaning soap in 2014. The 12-monitor RIP III showed up on Arbutus Information in 2015, incorporating spoken term, post-punk, novelty tunes, and psychedelic/garage area, among other styles.
