Award-winning British science fiction and illusion article writer Michael Moorcock took a profession detour in 1975 using the release of THE BRAND NEW World’s Good, a dystopian idea record credited to Michael Moorcock & the Deep Fix. Moorcock, who sings and has both electric guitar and mandolin, sometimes performed using the intensifying rock clothing Hawkwind, and in 1974 was provided a one-off record offer by United Performers. The resulting record featured the people of Hawkwind, and a little military of ’70s artwork rock and roll denizens, including Steve Gilmore and Snowy Light. Moorcock in addition has penned tracks for Blue ?-yster Cult and Spirits Burning up, which had been built across the personas and mythology of his books. Roller Coaster Vacation, an alternate edition of THE BRAND NEW World’s Fair, premiered for the Voiceprint label in 2004.
