Michael Marra

A singer, songwriter, acting professional, and all-around performer, Michael Marra was created in the Lochee area of Dundee in 1952. The Scot embarked on the road of music in 1971 when he shaped the music group Hen’s Teeth. He’d eventually graduate towards the professional rates, becoming a member of the Dundee music group Skeets Boliver, with whom he’d tour, to push out a couple of (nearly strike) singles, and relocate compared to that hub of entertainment for the English Isles, London. When the music group split, Marra made a decision to give a single career a chance, became a specialist songwriter, and released a single recording — The Midas Contact — in 1980. The pressure to be always a commercially viable designer as well as the misguided decisions (rejecting his focus on another solo album, for example) of both supervisor and label resulted in a falling out in clumps, and Marra remaining London to come back to Scotland and free of charge himself of the organization music tradition yoke. Marra began his own 3rd party label, Mink, and released his following recording, Gaels Blue, onto it in 1985. While he’d only continue to release some more albums after Gaels Blue, Marra was definately not relaxed as a specialist performer and musician. Marra began composing music for theatre and soundtracks, and held touring being a single artist. He’d continue to tour European countries with Deacon Blue, and play displays in america. In 2007, Marra released the record Quintet and a five-song EP, and came out in the musical The Demon Barber.
