Michael Kelsh

A local of Tarboro, NC, Kelsh trim his teeth within the Chapel Hill music picture while attending School of NEW YORK. There, he fronted Jack port as well as the Cadillacs for four years and performed with regional favorite Southern Lifestyle in the Skids. After launching two independent single albums, Ghost Dance (1988) and Metal Blue Ballads (1993), Kelsh relocated to Nashville, where he offers since collaborated with Music Town notables Rodney Crowell, pedal metal player Rusty Youthful (Poco), and Stu Cole of Squirrel Nut Zippers. An intro to ex-New Lawn Revival bassist John Cowan resulted in a history vocal i’m all over this Cowan’s 2000 self-titled launch for Sugars Hill. Kelsh’s folksy self-employed Compact disc Well of Mercy adopted in 2001, documented at Crowell’s personal studio room by using producer Expenses Halverson (Cream, Neil Adolescent, and the Tx Tornadoes). Contributors included Cole, Cowan, bassist Michael Rhodes, Youthful, and vocalist Pleasure Lynn White.
