Michael Kehr

Michael Kehr led Sterling in the first ’80s with sibling Steve. One record, Town Children, showcased Sterling’s flashy however rough rock and roll but somehow tracks like “Robosexual” fulfilled with essential indifference and small marketplace effect. The Kehrs (right now including third sibling Don) shifted to create Urgent, a far more melodic AOR clothing with an attention on the graphs and the money registers. Bassist Klyph Dark, previously with Nikki Hype in Vendetta, also remaining his harder times behind for Urgent’s superb debut Solid the First Rock. Made by eccentric legends Ian Hunter and Mick Ronson, who also co-wrote many tracks, Urgent’s 1st record is a superb spin, though secrets and drums (as usually) dangerously day this 1985 function. Michael Kehr’s performing stayed solid though significantly less than unique, and he once again sang lead around the follow-up Considering aloud. Whereas Solid the First Rock surfed radio waves using the warm cut “Operating Back again,” the single-less Considering out Loud vanished upon launch. Michael Kehr and his brothers never have surfaced since.
